ICCC PTE Meet For Uniformity: A Step Ahead For Quality Student-Centered Learning

ICCC PTE Meet For Uniformity: A Step Ahead For Quality Student-Centered Learning

We, the academic wing of the ICCC, IELTS & PTE Centre- ICCC, took an important step towards developing and standardizing PTE (Pearson Test of English) education’s quality across our entire spectrum of branches. The meeting, held at ICCC’s auxiliary office based in Chabahil, was presided over by the Academic Head, Mr. Suroj Moktan Tamang, and attended by key educators, which included PTE Trainer Mr. Sanket Khatiwada, IELTS cum PTE Trainer Mr. Deepak Kapadel, and IELTS cum PTE Trainer Mr. Pawan Adhikari. This is an important meeting in our continuous steps towards providing top-of-the-line, result-driven, and student-oriented education.

The “PTE Meeting for Uniformity” was innovated with the prime intention of bringing uniformity and coherence of PTE across all academic outlets of ICCC. With its multiplication in branches and a variegated heterogeneity in the student population, the compulsions of homogeneity in the approach to teaching and assessment became stringent. This meeting took a course towards standardisation of curriculum, which is consistent and, at the same time, capable of fitting the needs of the students most appropriately. The centre of the student in the interest, personalisation, and measurable results is clearly developed from a learning environment.

One of the major discussion points was the standardization of the PTE curriculum. Our trainers reiterated the need for a uniform teaching methodology in line with the latest PTE standards. This will ensure that students receive the same quality of education, regardless of the branch where they are enrolled. The course of discussion included a look into all topics ranging from lesson planning and teaching aids to modes of evaluation.

The meeting also aimed to work on a lesson plan that is tailor-made to fulfill the diverse needs of our students. Our mentors were aware of the fact that each individual student is gifted and learns in his unique way, and they, therefore proposed a flexible lesson plan that could take into consideration individual uniqueness. The aim is for every student to be well-prepared for their PTE Test, and for lessons to be designed in a way that is best for bringing out the maximum potential from each individual for scoring the highest.

The other important part of the meeting was based on a student-centric teaching approach. The trainers discussed the strategies to make lesson-oriented and student-friendly lessons in making lessons more interactive, engaging, and focused on using the needs of their students. It is also our belief that by enabling a learning environment where a student has been encouraged and inspired to learn, we will have improved satisfaction rates and relatively higher success rates on the PTE tests for the students. The other strategy is actually the use of feedback and continuous improvement in developing lessons through the performance and feedback of the students.

After the meeting, the Academic Head, Mr. Suroj Moktan Tamang, oriented RCIC, Mrs. Kriti Khanal, Head of ICCC-Chabahil, on all the results and decisions of the program. She assured full support of the initiatives unfolded and further stressed commencing those changes immediately in all the branches.

The unfolding weeks that come in a part of ICCC’s network will have the rolling out of a uniform curriculum and the teaching strategies to accord this new policy. Each branch shall be provided with the detailed guideline and training for the smooth transition into this new system. In addition, on the basis of monitoring and evaluation, further improvements, if needed, will be considered in due course.

The “PTE Meet for Uniformity” at ICCC is thus another milestone in our journey toward excellence in education. It shall go a long way in enriching the learning experiences of our students and help them to achieve their academic goals confidently. Standardization of the PTE curriculum and a student-centric approach are definitely going to add a new dimension to learning and place us amongst enviable positions.

This allows the students to be able to have a consistent, exciting, and effective learning experience and increases their chances of success in the PTE examination once they join ICCC.
